Ravi is Professor of Computer and Electrical Engineering in Purdue University. He is vastly acclaimed and is a highly respected figure in academia in the fields of telecommunications, mathematics, etc. If you want details of all this just do a google search on Ravi Mazumdar. Last time I did it, there were over 2000 websites which featured him. We remember him as the inseparable friend of Milind Paranjape the genius in our batch.
